As you probably already know - the statistics for pastoral/ministry burn out are high!

Pastors and their families can’t always easily get help; they aren’t supposed to need it. In addition, the struggles pastors and their families face are unique and often not understood by run of the mill therapists.

A common complaint we hear from Pastors and Missionaries is that churches and mission organizations often don’t know how to navigate moral crises that they encounter when pastors struggle.

Paula and Stephen know what it means to pastor and they have both weathered ecclesiastical hurricanes. They provide understanding, safety, expertise and care with over 50 years of combined ministry experience both here and abroad. As you will see in their classes and cohort offerings, that they capably provide training, counseling, spiritual direction, and trauma relief for pastors, their families, as well as serving churches that are experiencing organizational trauma. 

With this extensive background in crisis management and soul care, our Ministry Assistance Program (MAP) works with your church staff to offer support they can’t find anywhere else.

Meet Our Team

Gracefall & reFresh have a solution.

This is how it works:

  1. Names of enrolled pastors are given to Gracefall/reFresh.

  2. Gracefall / reFresh contact information is provided to pastors

  3. Pastors contact Gracefall/reFresh to schedule appointments, knowing that the church will never hear they met with a counselor or be able to find out the content of the conversations.

  4. Pastors then get 6 “free” sessions with a counselor and then only pay $75 a session after.

  5. Churches call when they learn that their pastor is in crisis and they are too. Gracefall will walk with the board to come up with best practices given the messy situations that might have arisen. 

What Does It Cost?

  • Enrollment for each pastor and their family is only $40 /month (split between church and pastor: normally a $25 /$15 split)

  • Classes are priced at 75% of what they would cost outside of the MAP.

  • All counseling and spiritual direction appointments (after free appointments) are at 70% of cost.

  • Consulting fees after 12 hours are 2/3 of the regular price of $150 an hour.

We also provide assessments that will help us identify and work with church staff confidentially on attachment issues, past trauma issues, betrayal trauma, money & work idiosyncrasies, and sexual addiction discovery and triage.
